This evaluation is a comprehensive assessment conducted by a licensed occupational therapist to evaluate a child’s ability to perform daily activities and identify any challenges that may impact their development, participation, or independence. The evaluation focuses on areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, emotional regulation, social interaction, cognitive skills, and reflex integration tailored to the child’s age and developmental stage.

This entails parent/caregiver/teacher interview, observation, and clinical assessment ranging from 30minutes to 1 hour. 

Pediatric occupational therapy (OT) treatment is a targeted, individualized intervention designed to help children develop, improve, or regain the skills needed for daily activities, participation, and independence. Following a comprehensive evaluation, the occupational therapist creates a customized treatment plan to address the child’s specific challenges in areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, social interaction, and cognitive abilities. The treatment is play-based, engaging, and tailored to the child’s age, interests, and developmental needs.

This can be in-person or virtually.
